User interface design for a telecoms digital assistant.
During my time at Vodafone the Head of Digital asked me to think about how users will want to interact with voice AI in the next ten years. Will UI design become obsolete? Or will it incorporate even more disciplines such as sound design, anthropology and neuroscience? With a rise in the use of voice recognition technology I believe we are seeing a deeper need for the emotion of devices to be conveyed, with equal emphasis of those devices understanding our emotions too. User interface design will become the visual representation of different software’s personalities and characteristics.
